In 1980, at the height of the cold war, America and the then United Soviet Socialist Republic, were in a battle for athletic supremacy. A group of unknown kids from all over the US led by Coach Herb Brooks, would become the stuff of legend. Defeating the Russians and later taking the gold medal in the Olympics in Lake Placid, New York, would give this Great Nation a much needed shot in backside!

Fast forward 36 years and now, pieces of that amazing series are for sale to the highest bidder. Goalie Jim Craig, who stopped shots from some of the greatest hockey players in the world, is auctioning off personal pieces of those games, including his gold medal. The only gold medal to be sold to date. Instead of keeping and deciding who should get what piece of the collection, the 56 year old Craig has decided to sell it.

The collection is valued at $5,000,000,000.00. Had you the money, would you buy any of the collection?
