When I was a young, impressionable lad of just 25, I was hired in at what was then, Classic Rock 92.7 WMMQ. It was my first ever radio job and our studios were on Mt. Hope Rd., next to a well known top 40 station. We had this large wall of CD's that held our in station library. The limited vinyl we still played, was somewhere else in the building.

Having been through a change on the dial, 6 changes in ownership and countless personnel changes, the CD's still remain. It's nice to know that in my 22 years of Lansing radio, there is one old friend that greats me in the studio when I return!

Maybe some of our original WMMQ history, should be honored at the upcoming 29th Birthday Party at Reno's West? Either way, we hope you'll join us as we celebrate 29 years as America's First Classic Rock Station! Tickets are only $10.00 and include a buffet with soft drink, Larry McCray in concert, and an opportunity at lot's of great prizes and a chance earn your spot at immortality as a member of the Classic Rock Hall of Fame! For more info, visit WMMQ.COM  We'll see ya there!
