82 Year Old Lansing Man Completes Hawk Island Triathlon

I have had the pleasure of announcing race results at the Hawk Island Triathlon in South Lansing every years since it began, except for the one year I couldn't make it. I LOVE this event - it's so inspiring to see people of all shapes,sizes and ages competing against each other.

William Swords of Lansing, above, competed again this year, which he has since the first year the Hawk Island Tri began. For the record, Swords' time was better than a lot of people younger than him, proving that age is just a number. Yea, he's 82 years old.

You could totally do this - and you've got a whole year to train for it! And you could always break up the swim, bike, run into a relay with your friends, like 'Team Nacho Business" did.
