WLNS.com reports another recall on pet treats. EuroCan Manufacturing is recalling its pig ear treats due to a salmonella risk. The specific brand names included in the recall are Barnsdale Farms, HoundsTooth, and Mac's Choice Pig Ears.

Check the label of your dog's pig ears for lot number 84. The treats were sold in both the United States and Canada. No illnesses have been reported as of yet.

Signs of salmonella poisoning in dogs may include fever, vomiting, diarrhea and bloody diarrhea. Decreased appetite, fever, and abdominal discomfort are also possible.

The WLNS story also says that there is a risk of salmonella poisoning for humans that handle the treats. Symptoms for people with salmonella include diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, fever, and abdominal cramping
