With so much going on during the summer months, many Michigan hunters forget to apply for their antlerless deer permits or "doe tags."

The Michigan DNR reminds everyone to apply before the end of August 15, 2017. Many private land permits are usually available over the counter but some places in Michigan may have low quotas, so it's best if you apply now to increase your odds of success of drawing a tag.

Also, if you happen to have extra venison this year, Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger always welcome donations as well.

Best of luck this year!
