Multiple police agencies conducted a massive manhunt Thursday afternoon and evening, in search of suspects connected to the robbery of a credit union in Delta Township. When it all was said and done, three suspects were taken into custody just before 8:30pm Thursday evening, within spitting distance of the WMMQ studios on land owned by Michigan State University.

Officials had interchange ramps at I-96 and US-127 closed for a number of hours Thursday after the suspects damaged their vehicle and fled on foot. Somehow, the suspects crossed I-96 out of the sight of witnesses and police, but were apprehended eventually on the property of MSU Horticulture north of I-96 and in between US-127 and College Road.

WLNS.com reports that 14 police agencies teamed up in the search and apprehension efforts. The three suspects were officially charged Friday in an Eaton County courtroom. The suspects are from the Metro Detroit area, and are accused of robbing the CASR Credit Union on Saginaw Highway in Delta Township.

A police canine found the suspects in the area near MSU's apple orchard. The police dog's name, fittingly, is Cash.
