Two weeks before Billy Idol is set to release his first album of original material in almost a decade, he's announced a North American tour for early next year.

The month-long tour will support ‘Kings & Queens of the Underground,’ Idol's first album since 2005's 'Devil's Playground,' not counting the following year's Christmas-themed 'Happy Holidays.' The shows start in New Orleans on Jan. 21 and will wrap up on Feb. 18 in Los Angeles. You can see the itinerary for the North American dates below.

Idol's been busy lately. In addition to the new album, his autobiography, 'Dancing With Myself,' comes out tomorrow. He's been making the rounds for that recently; the singer previously announced dates for a European leg of the tour. More shows will be announced later.

Tickets for most of the new shows go on sale Friday. You can hear the first single from 'Kings & Queens of the Underground,' ‘Can’t Break Me Down,’ at Idol’s website.
