The Lansing Police Department reports that they received a call around 9:20 Saturday morning, March 10th, to report what appeared to be a body in the Grand River near the 100 block of Willow Avenue on Lansing's north side, at the northernmost point of Washington Avenue.

Capital Area Dive Team members and Lansing Police investigators responded to the scene to recover the body from the water.

It appears that the recovered body was a white male in his mid 20s. Based on preliminary indicators of height, weight and attire, it is believed this could be the body of the 24 year old Bath man who became separated from his kayak near the Brenke Fish Ladder in Old Town Lansing February 27, 2018.

Autopsy results are pending.
