While on a training mission during the day of October 25th, a mechanical malfunction is being blamed for 6 bombs and a missile being fired from a military plane in Michigan's northern lower.

No injuries or damage was reported when the mishap occurred. The training bombs only released smoke and the missile was not armed according to National Guard officials. The fighter was en route to Camp Grayling from Selfridge AFB when the incident occurred.
