It's a pretty safe bet that if you don't hear me on Thursday, I am out enjoying the Michigan bow hunting opener for bow season.

Since 2006, I have been climbing up trees and planning a little surprise party for the deer. Watching nature come to life before daybreak is an amazing experience in itself and success with a bow and arrow is not mandatory. While many look at November 15th with great anticipation, October 1st is my day to be out in a tree stand. This year, I will not be alone. Girlfriend and hunting partner Sara Marie Smith will be taking over my favorite spot as we try an arrow a little venison for the freezer.

If you are a deer hunter, will October 1st be your day? Or will you wait and join the orange army of over 700,000+ on November 15th? Let us know!
