Some much needed bridge repairs are set to get underway in Meridian Township this month. Both Okemos Road and Marsh Road, the major north-south roadways through the township will see orange barrels directing traffic through the mess beginning in the next two weeks.

The southbound Okemos Road bridge over the Red Cedar River will see repairs beginning on Monday, March 14. Southbound traffic will be shifted onto the northbound bridge, while northbound travelers will be detoured VIA Hagadorn Road between Mount Hope Avenue and Grand River Avenue. Repairs should be complete by early June.

Marsh Road bridge repairs over the CN Railroad will start Monday, March 21. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction during the repairs. In mid-August, the project will require the bridge to be closed to all traffic for 10 days. This project is scheduled to be complete by Labor Day.
