Michigan State University Howard Russell, who works in Diagnostic Services, Plants/Soils/Microbial Sciences, confirmed last week that a Brown Recluse Spider was found in Ann Arbor in August of last year.

Six years ago, Russell reported that there were three populations of the Brown Recluse, whose bite can case severe cell damage (necrosis), were found in Genesee, Hillsdale and Ingham Counties.
