Burning Ban In Effect Once Again For Northern Michigan
Just take a look at your lawn. It's dry in these parts as of late. And, according to MLive.com, this has prompted the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to ban open burning of debris across most of Northern Michigan. This means that permits will not be issued for the burning of grass, wood, and leaves. And, don't think you're slick stuff if you're cabin property is on land where permits are not required. Open burning is banned for you, too!!
The ban is for Muskegon, Newaygo, Mecosta, Isabella, Midland, and Bay Counties, and any county north of this line. If you're heading up north this weekend, it is advised to get details from local officials regarding any burning bans.
