“Cans for Quarters” at Liberty Coin in Lansing

Liberty Coin in Lansing's Frandor shopping center will be handing out newly minted 2018 Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore quarters in exchange for canned goods.

"Bring in four non-perishable food donations and we will give you four Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore quarters," said Patrick Heller, past owner and communications officer for Liberty Coin Service. "Those who drop off a cash donation of $25 or more will receive a 40-coin roll of the coins."

The "Cans For Quarters Food-Raiser” will benefit the Greater Lansing Food Bank. The fundraiser kicks off Saturday morning, February 10, 2018 at 10AM with a WMMQ live broadcast hosted by me, Deb Hart, but you can donate canned goods in exchange for Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore quarters through March 31, 2018.

Also, while WMMQ is there, we'll take registrations to win a pair of tickets to see the Eagles at Van Andel Arena, Thursday, March 15, 2018 - but only while WMMQ is there through noon!
