The Ingham County Road Department announced the start of a road resurfacing project on a highly traveled stretch of highway near Mason. Cedar Street will undergo an upgrade beginning Monday, April 8 between College Road and U.S.-127.

The project calls for a new pavement surface, as well as the addition of deceleration lanes that lead to median turnarounds, which will be transitioned into "Michigan Left" turnarounds. Throughout the project, scheduled to be complete by October, one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained. Access to homes, businesses and side streets along the stretch will be maintained.
