Chronic Wasting Disease in Ingham County County’s Meridian Township
A doe in Ingham County's Meridian Township tested positive for Chronic Wasting Disease, the contagious and fatal affliction that attacks the brains of infected deer and elk. That means an immediate ban on feeding and baiting here in Ingham, as well as Clinton and Shiawassee counties.
This also means mandatory testing for CWD of deer taken by hunters within a 15 mile radius of where the infected deer was found.
