As we draw closer to November 15 and firearm deer season here in Michigan, it makes me so happy to be a bowhunter. The quiet and tranquility of the woods is priceless. Getting up close and personal with Michigan whitetails is just a bonus.

This button buck popped in on me on Sunday and decided to hang out for a bit. Followed a few minutes later by a large doe, I got to watch them browse (eat) and just do what deer do.

Not saying that one method of hunting is better than another. This is just my preferred way of hunting. So when the orange army hits the woods, dotting the landscape like a pumpkin patch, I will be fast asleep, dreaming of more time in my tree stand.
