Deep Purple and Alice Cooper Bring CLassic Metal To Michigan

More summer concert announcements just keep coming each week. And, today, it's news that will please the fans of classic metal. According to Palace Sports and Entertainment, it's time to gas up the "Highway Star", and "Burn" down to DTE Energy Music Theater for a little "Smoke On The Water".

Now, we can finally say it...don't miss your chance to see Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Deep Purple this summer!!! Oh, yeah, Detroit's own Alice Cooper will be on the bill as well! Toss in the sounds of The Edgar Winter Band, and we have a recipe for a night chock full of classic rock and metal tuneage.

The show is scheduled for Sunday, September 3. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 3 at 10:00AM. Lawn seats will cost $30 (plus service fees). Pavilion tickets range from $45 to $99.50.
