Detroit Red Wings VS Michigan State Alumni Game Sunday

Last year, I had the honor of announcing the Detroit Red Wings VS MSU alumni game. Before the game, I got to meet Red Wing legend and announcer Mickey Redmond. I saw him in the locker room in his long underwear and asked him for a pic. Of course he made fun of me, then agreed.

It was a great moment in my life. And for my father in law, Harry. Harry drove from Holly to come and see the action. He looked like a little kid watching Mickey skate around with no helmet on. You could hear the crowd getting ready to erupt whenever he touched the puck. He almost scored twice and got one of the loudest ovations at introductions.

Another favorite, is Darren McCarty. A few times last year Darren mixed it up with some former Spartans in comical fashion. He got the loudest laughs. It was tough not to think of him beating the hell out of Claude Lemieux, the "turtle man."
