Dick Vitale Honoring Michigan State Princess Lacey Holsworth

Former Detroit Pistons coach and college basketball legend Dick Vitale said he has raised about $175,000 of the $250,000 he vowed to donate to the V Foundation. He will make the donation in the name of 8 year-old Michigan State Princess Lacey Holsworth from St. John's. The money will go for pediatric cancer research. Dick says he believes he will get the rest in donations at his fundraising gala this Friday night. He also said he sobbed like a baby when he heard of Lacey's passing. Lacey's parents Matt and Heather Holswoth will also be at the gala. Alabama head football coach Nick Saban and Indiana head basketball coach Tom Crean will be honored at the event.

Her father Matt said "We will do all we can to keep Lacey's legacy alive.''
