Did the Aliens Land in East Lansing?

David Brown of East Lansing documented these mysterious snow circles that appeared in his yard recently and asked on Facebook:

"More snow mystery circles appearing in back yard. Aliens from another planet? Woodchucks out of hibernation? Early signs a volcano about to erupt? Hmmm..."

Comments on the post suggest breeding snow worms...maybe chupacabras...
