Did You Hear About What Happened in Lansing Friday Night?

I got the Nixle alert on my phone just before 7:00 Friday night that motorists were asked to avoid Saginaw and Pennsylvania Ave in Lansing due to a car vs pole incident, which was great to know as I was headed in that direction. Initially, it sounded like the car hit a utility pole, which brought down some wires.

WILX TV 10 reported later that what actually happened is that the cable holding the traffic signal snapped, dropping the traffic light on top of a car below!  And then the driver sped away!

Wonder why they didn't stick around for the 'incident report' to cover any damages to their vehicle...?
