WLNS.com reports that Fiat Chrysler is issuing a major recall on its Dodge Grand Caravan models. A reported 297,000 minivans are being recalled in North America due to an issue with the driver's front airbag. Eight people have sustained minor injuries after the airbags have inflated unexpectedly, but no accidents have occurred.

The 2011 and 2012 Grand Caravan models will be affected. FCA says that some symptoms may be noticed by drivers, indicating an issue. Windshield wipers may turn on by themselves, an airbag warning light may come on, or cruise control may not work.
