Does This M-44 Road Stripe Over Roadkill Offend You?

Polly Misner of Ionia took this photo last week while driving on M-44 between Ionia and Belding and share it on social media. The pic got a LOT of attention.

Misner spoke with the Grand Rapids Press, where she pointed out that it really wouldn't have taken much effort to remove the possum from the road before striping over it.

Reminds me of the time I saw a road stripe over a big rubber boot on the ramp from 496 to Cedar/Larch in Lansing a couple of years ago. If I recall, the boot with the stripe on it was there for months.
