More sad news has broken in the Rock 'n' Roll world this afternoon. According to a report from TMZ.com, Detroit native and founding member of The Eagles, Glenn Frey, has died at the age of 67.

The report from TMZ cites a combination of rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia leading to Frey's death. Apparently, Frey had surgery in November after battling stomach issues. The condition forced The Eagles to cancel their appearance at the Kennedy Center Honors last month. Frey died today in New York City.

The Eagles wrapped up their "History of The Eagles" Tour last July after a 142 show run that lasted longer than two years.
