Eaton County Sheriff Now Have Fingerprint Scanners
Folks that have warrants out for their arrest have been known to lie to police from time to time about their true identities. According to WILX.com, fugitives should think twice about lying to Eaton County Sheriff Deputies. That's because they have become the latest Michigan county to institute the use of fingerprint scanners.
The new technology will allow officers to instantly scan an individual's fingerprints. The device then sends the scanned image to be compared against both state and federal fingerprint databases within minutes.
According to the WILX report, five other police departments in the state use the tools. The Michigan State Police also carry the scanners with them.
