Great Family Theater comes to Jackson with the
New 2nd Sunday Family Series at Jackson School
of the Arts!!

Every performance includes an after show
hands-on activity that is included in the ticket price too.
The series includes a different show each month
(All shows start at 2:00 pm, with the exception of
Jack and the Beanstalk which starts at 1:00 pm).

March 9th at 2 pm•Adventure in the Outback
Take an Australian Vacation!
This engaging interactive performance is an exploration of Australian Aboriginal art, music and culture presented by
Australian world renowned didgeridoo/harmonica performer/singer/composer, Peter Harper and Australian singer/actress and music educator, Bobbi Llewellyn. Learn how the Aborigines make didgeridoos in this interactive presentation and after the show, students (up to age 16) will paint their own to keep and then go on stage to perform as a group.

April 13th at 2 pm•Michigan Magician Chris Clark
Chris Clark has been performing for over 35 years including spots on the “Rachael Ray Show”, the “Late Show” with David Letterman, “Live with Regis and Kelly” and the “Tonight Show” with Jay Leno. His show includes a variety of magic tricks, juggling, puppets (he’s famous for his “Punch & Judy” show), and comedy and balloon sculptures. He uses audience participation to capture your attention and keep you laughing.

May 18th (3rd Sunday) at 1 pm “Jack and the Beanstalk”
performed by Wild Swan Theatre
NOTE 1:00 PM START TIME
This humorous version of Jack’s adventure climbing the magical beanstalk is sure to please our littlest audience members. A very silly (and un-scary) giant is just no match for Jack’s wits as he scrambles up and down the beanstalk, rescuing his father from the giant’s clutches and earning back his pet cow, Milky White.

June 8th at 2 pm • Copper Tom
Copper Tom is a full-time children’s music songwriter, performer & storyteller who specializes in shows for schools & libraries. In addition to presenting his music, much of it original compositions from his award-winning CD's or new material, he also tells wonderful stories in a way that can be readily understood by listeners of all ages. He draws inspiration from American
roots music including old time country, blues & roots rock & roll. He might throw in a little New Orleans funk, some Trinidadian calypso, a little reggae &....well, you get the picture! Then again, only by listening will you really start to appreciate what his unique musical vision has to offer!

July 13th at 2 pm • Cirque Amongus
The Cirque Amongus Show is an entertaining combination
of comedy, magic, circus skills and audience participation as performers surprise and delight audiences of all ages. Following the performance is a 30 minute workshop in which students are invited to join the circus fun. The seasoned performers will motivate and challenge kids so that everybody participates to the best of their individual abilities. You’ll not forget this special day under the Big Top!

August 10th at 2 pm• Puppeteer Brad Lowe
performing “Sleeping Beauty”
Brad Lowe has been delighting audiences with his large colorful puppets on stage, television, and film for more than 30 years. His unique combination of music, comedy, and state-of-the-art puppetry has garnered him several coveted awards, including the seal of approvals from the “Committee for Children’s Television” and “Action for Children’s Television,” the Puppeteers
of America’s Paul McPharlin Award, and two Emmy Awards.

All shows begin at 2:00 pm (with the exception of the May 18th show which starts at 1:00pm) in The Ensemble Theatre
