The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has issued the warning to gird your loins (they actually said to hunker down, I'm taking creative license) this afternoon as there's a chance of wicked storms, possibly even tornadoes. More specifically, the forecasters say that areas around Chicago could see "explosive" storms developing before the system moves toward Michigan. hurricane-force winds with gusts over 75-80 miles an hour could be a factor, along with baseball-sized hail.

WILX TV 10 has the forecast here for Greater Lansing today and tonight - sounds like we'll avoid the worst of it, though southern Michigan could experience damaging winds. It appears that about 96 million people could be affected.

My Honey is heading for Chicago as we speak. I can't change the weather by worrying, so I'm not going to worry.
