Flashback 40 Years Ago Today: This Was The #1 Pop Hit in America

I really don't know why I am so fascinated by this video? I always make fun of it. As a kid, I used to sing the hell out of this song.

It was the number one pop hit in the land on this day in 1975. I said POP HIT. The video kills me! A dude just walking down the road, riding around the ring all by himself, waving his hat at invisible fans and lip synching to the camera. It's how videos were back then. The #1 song as I wrote this is "I Can't Feel My Face" by The Weeknd.

Glen hasn't been in great health lately and we wish him well. The guy did more before the 70's than I will accomplish in my lifetime. He won the "Best Country Song" award last year for "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" and his film "I'll Be Me" is getting great reviews. It's the most viewed movie in CNN history.

His health is declining but I will forever remember Glen for this iconic tune, I will never be able to get out of my head. For more on Glen Campbell click here.
