WLNS TV 6 reports that Rev. David Fisher and St. Joseph Catholic Church Secretary Nancy DeFrenn are accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Owosso church and its charity. The former pastor, who retired in 2015, is looking at seven counts of thievery, while DeFrenn is looking at one count. The two are accused of using their ‘allegedly’ ill-gotten cash for personal use. They’re both awaiting trial.

St. Joseph Church has posted a statement here on their website about the investigation and charges. They're holding a prayer service tonight and they'll take questions afterwards.
