Gardeners beware! Temperatures in the Lansing Area are going to get well into the 30's overnight Friday into Saturday. National Weather Service forecasts for Lansing overnight call for lows in the mid-30's. It is expected that we will stay above freezing, but frost is possible just to the east. NWS has issued a Frost Advisory for Southeast Michigan, including Livingston and Shiawassee Counties, where they expect overnight temperatures to have a better shot of flirting with freezing.

Even though, as of Friday afternoon, there is no advisory for frost issued officially, the threat is close enough for concern for greenthumbs. You may want to take the extra precaution tonight to cover those outdoor plants!
