Fulton Suffers a Heartbreaking, Buzzer Beating Loss

Wednesday night in the Class D Regional, Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart beat Fulton 49-47 on a heartbreaking buzzer beater. Down 47-46 with just seconds to go, Sacred Heart threw an errant in bounds pass that bounced off the backboard out to 3 point land where Dustin Neyer flicked the ball toward the rim. It bounced around a few times before breaking the hearts of Fulton fans. Check out the shot below.

Congratulations to Fulton on a great season. As bad as I feel for Fulton and their community, I love to see these last second shot victories. Can you imagine how popular Dustin Neyer is in school today? He will become a school legend. Can you imagine being a student at Sacred Heart and being there to witness such a miracle shot?
