WILX.com is reporting that General Motors is recalling some 4 million vehicles due to software issues that control vehicle airbags. At least one death has been connected to what GM officials call a rare instance in which a vehicle's computer may run in test mode, causing airbags and seat belts to not operate properly.

Affected vehicles include 2014-16 Buick LaCrosse, Chevy SS and Spark EV; 2014-17 Buick Encore, GMC Sierra, and Chevy Corvette, Trax, Caprice, and Silverado; and 2015-17 Chevy Tahoe, Suburban, and Silverado HD, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, and Sierra HD, and Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV.
