WLNS.com is reporting that Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has vetoed a Republican backed bill that would have required the state to offer fundraising vanity plates supporting Right to Life of Michigan. The "Choose Life" plates were reportedly too politically charged in the eyes of the governor, according to the story.

Snyder reportedly said it would be inappropriate for the state to issue plates on a topic that the governor feels could "bitterly divide" the population. Had Snyder signed the bill into law, it would have required the state to offer the plates within one year.
