Governor Snyder Signs Laser Law

WLNS.com reports that Governor Rick Snyder has finally made it illegal by state law to shine lasers at planes or trains.

Previously, shining a laser at a plane was against federal law, tying the hands of any state or local law enforcement officials from investigating or arresting offenders. Now, with the governor's signature on two separate bills planes and trains are both off limits to lasers.

Offenders will face felony charges facing penalties of up to 5 years in prison and fines of up to $10,000.
