Bradley C. Rappuhn was born in Lansing in 1986, graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 2004. In January 2009, Rappuhn he joined the Army. In July of 2010, he was supposed to be back at Fort Benning, but his tour got extended. August 8, 2010, during his first deployment in Afghanistan, the Grand Ledge soldier was killed in action when his unit was attacked by insurgents with an improvised explosive device.

The Grand Ledge community created an annual fundraiser five years ago and you're all invited to take part in the upcoming event, which will be held July 20-22nd, and will include a poker run, beer tent, live entertainment and more.

The beer tent opens on Thursday at 6 PM  - Rally in the Alley plays until 9:00 PM, then Mike Coll takes the stage until 11:00.

 

Friday you can hear the Grand Ledge Bums and Exit 86 will play on Friday, then Barron Rush and Rush Clement will entertain everyone Saturday night.

The poker run on Saturday is open to motorcycles and cars alike...$10 a hand and 100% of proceeds go to veteran causes.

Deb Hart will be on-location at the American Legion Post 48 at 731 North Clinton Street in Grand Ledge from 5-6 PM Thursday, July 19th.

All proceeds of the events will go to the SPC Bradley Rappuhn Memorial Fund, which is administered by his mother. The 2017 contributions will help build a memorial event pavilion at the American Legion in Grand Ledge, which will feature a memorial display to honor all their local fallen heroes.
