I have a friend who is a Medical Marijuana patient. He doesn't like to travel because he says "there is no where I can stay and use my medicine." Always worrying about getting arrested on vacation, keeps him from going on vacation. It's a vicious cycle.

In the article it says the Grand Rapids Michigan Howard Johnson Hotel will allow pot smoking on the balconies and patios. The 84 year-old owner says the pot community is a rich untapped customer base in his business. With the growing "pot tourism" he is trying to stay ahead of the curve. He's charging the pot smokers more and has built 20 pot patios for the customers.

It's been going on for about a year and they have had zero complaints from customers complaining about the pot smoke.
