A visit to the Meridian Township Farmers Market Saturday morning yielded these locally harvested goodies; the eggs came from Onondaga, the flowers are from 'Sue', whose farm is in Mason (all the flowers for our wedding this summer came from her), can't remember where the beets came from and the ginormous heirloom tomatoes came from my pal Rebecca at Titus Farms in Leslie.

This past Thursday, there was another Farmers Market at the Capitol in downtown Lansing featuring over 70 vendors of Michigan grown or crafted goods. They'll have the final such event of the summer on Thursday September 22nd.

You can find a link here for all the Ingham County farmers markets, some of which open all year and some only seasonally.
