Guns N' Roses returned to the stage for the first time since announcing the return of founding members Slash and Duff McKagan to the lineup, playing a 17-song set at the tiny Troubadour in West Hollywood, California.

According to Blabbermouth, the band's lineup consisted of Axl Rose, Slash, McKagan, keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrar, and newcomer / second keyboardist Melissa Reese. There is no report of founding members Izzy Stradlin or Steven Adler appearing with the group.

As you'd expect, the setlist for the first stop on the amusingly titled "Not in This Lifetime" tour was largely drawn from the Appetite for Destruction and Use Your Illusion albums. However, they also performed two songs – "Better" and the title track – from 2008's Chinese Democracy, the only Guns N' Roses studio effort not to feature Slash or McKagan. They kicked off their encore with a cover of the Who's "The Seeker," which the band's previous lineup was often known to perform.

The next scheduled Guns N' Roses show is Friday, April 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Yesterday they announced a 20-city summer tour of football stadiums, set to kick off June 23 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.
