With Christmas upon us, many take to the closets and attics to retrieve ornaments and decorations that have been handed down for generations. One of which is the ceramic Christmas tree!

The pre-lit tree that Grandma and Grandpa probably had in their place when we were kids. Well, one such tree can be found in our home. It's a little kitsch, but a fond memory of all of those holiday gatherings from years gone by.

Even today, newer versions made with LED lights can be found at the super centers and big box stores, but they cannot replace the old ones. Those made in ceramics class by Aunt Edna or maybe purchased at the 5 and 10 store downtown.

All in all, if they survive, so do the memories. Merry Christmas from yesteryear!
