The leaves are falling and the humidity has left the air. It's fall harvest time in Michigan! Blight has hit many a farmer, both backyard and commercial, and caused loss to many crops.

While visiting my dad over the weekend, we managed to pick a few of the goodies that survived some of the airborne disease. Nothing eats better than produce that you (or someone you know) has grown. There's a little more pride in the fact that you were able to raise the produce yourself. That's probably what keeps our farmers working hard as hard as they do.

So enjoy the wonderful colors and tastes of fall!
