How To Talk With Your Kids About the Florida School Shooting

ABC News offers up ways here about how to have conversations with your kids, depending on their age, about the massacre at a Florida High School yesterday.

"For the majority of teenagers, school is a safe and supporting environment," Dr. Robin Gurwitch, a psychologist and professor at Duke University Medical Center, told ABC News today.

I still think about how it appears that our community avoided a similar tragedy at Lansing Community College when a student there alerted authorities that another student appeared to be prepared to attack the downtown Lansing campus. The Lansing State Journal has the most recent in that case.
