I Love Pie!

My mom's pie is better than your mom's pie. No offense intended, just true.

My mother is known as a fine baker, but her stand-out creation is her pie.  Apple is my favorite and that's what she mails me every year for my birthday is an apple pie. I know, she mails me a pie!

Thank you, Mom. You do love me.

The Pink Dessert Wars will likely one place to find pies that will rival my mom's.

Here's the deal: The 'Battle of the Batter' takes place Tuesday, October 14th at the University Club on Forest Drive in East Lansing, from 6-9 PM.  Your $10 ticket will allow you to sample desserts and decide which YOU think is the best and vote, helping to choose the 'People's Choice' winner.  There will be a panel of judges invited to choose as well and you can see how your picks line up with theirs.  So for ten bucks, you get to sample a room full of desserts -- AND help benefit cancer research.  A portion of ticket sales will go to the Susan G. Komen of Mid-Michigan foundation.
