Michigan State did itself a big favor by beating then-Top 25 Ohio State on Valentine's Day as it gave the Spartans a much-needed resume win.

But is that enough to put them in the NCAA tournament?

Not quite, according to CBS Sports bracketologist Jerry Palm.

A week ago, Palm didn't have MSU in the tournament. In fact, the Spartans were among his first four teams out. But in his latest projection (following MSU's win over Ohio State), Palm has State as a No. 11 seed in the Midwest--Kentucky's region.

Palm, a guru of all things NCAA tourney selection, says the Spartans need to get two more quality wins in the final six regular season games and the Big Ten tournament. Palm says MSU also needs to win its last two home games versus Minnesota and Purdue.

Without those accomplishments, Tom Izzo and Co. can expect to have to wait it out anxiously on Selection Sunday.
