Well, the lazy jocks at Townsquare-Media can no longer drive through for a quick cup of coffee. Tim Horton's closed their Jolly Road location, just west of Dunckel Road this week.

A sign posted on the store's front door greeted fellow would-be customers Tuesday morning, telling us that the location is permanently closed. Management invited us to drive four miles to the closest location at Okemos Road and I-96.

The Tim Horton's closure on Jolly Road is just the latest store, restaurant, or bar to close its doors. Lansing seems to have been victimized by slow business and closures over the last 18 months. Tim Horton's also recently closed its location at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Holmes Road. Another Tim's location on Cedar Street near Northrup closed a few years back, making way for a Domino's Pizza location.

Now, the lazy jocks here have to actually get out of their car for a cup of Biggby, QD, or Speedway coffee. Boo!!
