They haven't been able to win a pitched battle to get the likes of Eric Carr and Bruce Kulick inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with them, but Kiss has had no such troubles with its new indoor football team. The LA Kiss, owned by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, slipped by the San Antonio Talons 41-38 on a late field goal as time expired to notch its first victory in franchise history on their very first attempt.

Simmons and Stanley haven't been absentee owners, either. They were there for the unveiling of the team's fire-kissed new uniforms, and even starred in a wacky commercial for the team that featured a delivery-room theme. (She has a bouncing baby football at the end, of course.)

Simmons offered a hearty congratulations after the signature win, tweeting that he was "very proud of our team" not long after their game concluded last night at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas.

Meanwhile, Kiss has announced that they will not be performing at their own Hall of Fame induction, after organizers said they'd only be honoring the group's original lineup, which lasted from 1973 to 1980 before reuniting between 1996 to 2002. Carr (1980–1991) and Kulick (1984–1996) were subsequently with Kiss for more than a decade. Kiss' current edition, which features guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer, has been in place since 2002.
