No matter where you are driving in Michigan this weekend, MDOT has released a list of areas where construction will be shifted to ease congestion. Click here to see the breakdown. Click here to see the Michigan Construction map layout.

Last weekend, I drove up to Oscoda and it took 3 and half hours. Mostly due to it being Friday and construction on I-75. It was the first time I had driven on 75 since the speed limit was bumped up to 75. On our way home, it took 2 and half hours. We drove at night to avoid the major traffic. It was raining and cars were taking full advantage of that 75 mile per hour speed limit, and so was I.

Some of the colors have already started to turn and the Michigan summer is fading fast. It's worth a few orange cones and red brake lights to experience the beauty of the Michigan north.
