The Lansing State Journal reports that last month, Erin Pei of DeWitt dropped off her 1+ carat ring back in May off at Kay Jewelers in Meridian Mall in Okemos to have her diamond wedding redesigned for her tenth wedding anniversary.

Not long after she left her ring at that area Kay Jewelers, Pei's husband read that more than a few Kay customers nationwide have claimed that when they've dropped off their jewelry for repairs, their diamonds have been swapped out for lesser quality stones.

Pei then called the Kay store at Meridian Mall and asked for her ring back. She's still waiting for it.
