Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero plans to give more details in his State of the City Address tomorrow night about the deal the city is reportedly negotiating to move City Hall down the street. The current headquarters for city ops is at Capitol and Michigan; the mayor says it would cost between 50 and 60 million dollars to renovate that space, but only cost a mere 25 to 30 million to move down the street to the corner of Capitol and Lenawee to the former Lake Trust building.

However, it sounds like Police Depatment would stay in the current location, as would 54A District Court. In the building that needs renovation.
