Lansing’s Urban Deer Encounter

Many people may not know it, but Lansing has a healthy population of deer, wild turkey and other animals seen as game come fall. Leaving out squirrels and rabbits of course.

Michigan's most popular big game animal is most comfortable in an urban setting that offers just enough cover, food and water for them to get away. So it was no surprise when this mature doe sauntered across my path of driving today.
